Process: Nannies
Our personalized approach to nanny placement is just as beneficial to our nannies as it is to families. We’ve fine-tuned the process to make it simple for you to find your next job, and we take the time to make winning matches, so there’s a greater likelihood of it working out. Please note that all nannies are required to be eligible to work legally in the United States, speak English proficiently, have a clean record, and have 2-3 references from previous nanny employers.
Application
We ask all nannies to fill out our application form so we can get a complete overview of your professional life: your skills, experience, and work preferences. We also ask for references and credentials, which we’ll check before proceeding any further.
Screening
Once we’ve reviewed your application, we will set up a phone screening to get a true sense of who you are and the type of job you’d like. We’ll chat about your background, prior experiences, likes and dislikes, and everything else you feel we should know.
In-Person Interview
Provided you’re a good fit with our company, we’ll set up an in-person interview to get to know you even better and get a feel for the type of families with whom you’d best match.
Meeting a Potential Match Family
We will connect you with a family whose needs match your qualifications and make arrangements for you to meet them at a location of their choosing. This is an opportunity to ask questions of one another. We will not attend this interview, but we will be in touch to hear about each of your impressions.
Trial Day
If the family feels that you are a good match, we will arrange a trial at a time that is convenient for both you and the family. This way, both you and the family can get a real feel for what working together will be like. You will be paid for your time.
Terms of Employment
If the family decides to move forward, you and the family will discuss the terms of your employment, including your rates, work schedule, and any benefits. We are not a part of this process.
Final Background Check
Once the job has been offered, a final background check will be conducted.
Confirmation
It’s a match! Once you have sorted out the details and agreed to working with the family, you can begin nannying. The family does have a grace period during which they can request a different nanny match. If this happens, you will go back into our pool and we will make an effort to rematch you with a new family.
